Work on site is now complete and it is ready to handover

The subcontractors are pressing on with the internals with the first and second fix of the mechanical and electrical fittings, this allows for the joiners to fit the kitchens.

The rainwater harvesting tank has been installed this week, it will be used to store rainwater collected from the roofs and then supply this water to the ground floor properties for flushing toilets.

The feeder pillar is installed with ducting fed into the base in preparation for site electric supplies for external lighting, rainwater harvesting and the TV aerials.  It is located in the cycle store and will  be fixed in place when the gravel base and concrete is poured.

The facing brickwork is now complete to the underside of the eaves.

With the block now watertight the plaster boarding can begin internally while the bricklayers build up the facework externally with the help of hop-ups which are intermediate levels of scaffolding.

The party wall insulation is installed and held in place with a membrane, loft and ceiling insulation will follow shortly which are held in place by support netting.

The scaffolding surrounding the block also includes a series of loading bays which assist with getting the windows and bricks to where they are needed.  They are also useful storage on this tight site.
 
 
A close up of the completed tiling with dry verge system which can be seen where the tiles meet at the corners of the roof.  Rather then using mortar this system is mechanically fixed will not require any maintenance.

Following completion of the timber frame, the roof is loaded out with tiles to ensure even weight distribution prior to laying the tiles.  The roofers are making quick work of this, and will be finished early next week following the bank holiday.

The timber frame is flying up at Rawthorpe Lane with the first roof truss lifted into place by lunchtime on Thursday - timber frame started on Tuesday this week.

The beam and block flooring works have now been completed and the site is ready for the scaffolding to go up Monday and then the erection of the timber frame the week after.
